The 2015 NBA Draft created a lot of hype for the upcoming season, as a lot of talented players will be making their NBA debut on Wednesday night. One of those talented players was NCAA March Madness hero and sharp shooter R.J. Hunter.

Hunter, who was selected by the Boston Celtics, was set to make his debut with the Celtics on Wednesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers in an Atlantic Division showdown.

However, according to his dad and college coach, Ron Hunter, R.J. has food poisoning and as a result will not taking the court on Wednesday.

While it’s disappointing that NBA fans won’t get to see R.J. at the next level on Wednesday night, they will hopefully get to see him for a long time lighting up the NBA from deep.

How great was Ron’s response to his son missing his debut? He’s still proud of his son and can’t wait to see him out the floor. The love between father and son was on a national level during March Madness this past year, when Georgia State became one of the darlings of the NCAA tournament.

Now a proud dad gets to watch on as his son embarks on a career in the NBA.
