The San Antonio Spurs are starting their season on Wednesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and that means they need something to get them hyped!

The San Antonio Spurs are one of the best run franchises in the NBA with a strong front office, coaching staff and veteran leadership.

This offseason, the Spurs made an unexpected splash when they were able to sign free agent LaMarcus Aldridge. A majority of the reasons for the Spurs’ success over the past number of years has been because of their ability to draft extremely well and make smart offseason moves. San Antonio isn’t a big market like Los Angeles or New York, but the Spurs have been able to be a model franchise.

When many people think about the Spurs they think about the serious culture that head coach Gregg Popovich has created. On and off the floor, the Spurs are generally a very serious team, and besides a few funny Halloween costumes making fun of referee Joey Crawford a few years back, you barely hear anything about them away from the court.

Last season ended in disappointment for the Spurs, as they were eliminated in the playoffs by the Los Angeles Clippers, and the rare early playoff exit led to some of the roster changes in San Antonio. The core of the Spurs is still intact, but the addition of a star like Aldridge could help the Spurs win the title in 2016.

With a lot of expectations for the new season in San Antonio, the folks at 48 Minutes of Hell created a wonderful spoof video involving the Spurs and the famous television show “Cheers,” where of course everyone knows your name.

With the new NBA season underway funny videos like what the folks at 48 Minutes of Hell created are a good way to get even more excited. And while the video is very enjoyable, the Spurs will undoubtedly mean business when they start their season on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
