Dion Lewis couldn’t be caught by the Miami Dolphins on his way to the endzone

The Miami Dolphins had been looking quite good in the two weeks after firing head coach Joe Philbin, but the tides have certainly turned on Thursday Night Football against the giants of the AFC East, the New England Patriots. The Patriots had been smacking the Dolphins around for most of the first half and Dion Lewis only made things worse late in the second quarter.

With under a minute remaining in the first half, Tom Brady and the Patriots were driving when Brady dropped back to pass in the red zone. Lewis ran a short curl to the middle of the field and was left wide open. Brady found his running back and Lewis turned on the Jets to run untouched into the end zone:

You have to love the little bit of flair Lewis added as he put points on the board, giving a little hop into across the goal line rather than taking a normal stride.

Lewis has been gashing the Dolphins for most of the night, despite being listed as questionable coming into the Thursday night matchup. After his touchdown, New England took a 19-0 lead, which was the score as the two teams went to the locker room for halftime.
