Steve Nash will be honored by the Phoenix Suns in their next game, and the team will wear special attire for him.

Former Phoenix Suns point guard and two-time MVP Steve Nash recently retired from basketball, but he will return to Phoenix for a Ring of Honor ceremony. The 41-year-old is set to be inducted into the Suns’ Ring of Honor at halftime in their game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Suns will wear special socks in Nash’s honor for this game. ESPN NBA writer Marc Stein revealed what these socks will like on Twitter.

Since Nash also spent many of his prime years with the Dallas Mavericks, star power forward Dirk Nowitzki will attend along with former Mavericks and Suns shooting guard Michael Finley, according to Arizona Central. Nowitzki, Nash and Finley made up a powerful scoring trio in the early 2000s with the Mavericks. While they were never able to win a title together, they consistently produced one of the NBA’s top offenses on a regular basis.

Nash continued his success after being traded to the Suns, where he won two consecutive MVP awards. He also averaged double-digit assists in each of his seasons with the Suns except the 2008-09 season, but he still dished out 9.7 assists per game that year. The eight-time All-Star averaged 14.3 points and 8.5 assists throughout his career while taking the Suns to the Western Conference Finals three times. He also did this with the Mavericks once.
