After taking some time off following the horrible fireworks injury that he suffered back on July 4, New York Giants defensive lineman Jason Pierre-Paul is starting to talk extensively with the media as he anxiously awaits his return to the football field. He’s starting to talk more and more about the incident that took place a few months ago, an incident that nearly made him lose his entire hand.
Now, of course, there are probably some people wondering what the hand actually looks like since the healing process has been going on for several months now. Well, the folks at Newsday got a close-up picture of Pierre-Paul’s hand, and it’s about as disgusting as you might imagine it can be after someone nearly blows it off with fireworks.
In the interest of those that may be a tad bit squeamish, we will not post the actual picture here. But, if you are interested in seeing the injury, you can simply click here.
While that is a pretty gruesome injury that Pierre-Paul inexplicably suffered, he still has somehow maintained his sense of humor through it all when he’s asked some pretty obvious questions.

Now that this is out of the way, Pierre-Paul is now just looking forward to getting himself back on the field and helping out his team, as he also explained to the folks at Newsday.
