Jets Might’ve Asked For Locker Room Sweep Before Pats Game

New York Jets fall to paranoia, have locker room swept for listening devices prior to game against New England Patriots.
Who knew the Jets would go all CSI Foxboro on the Patriots but according to reports that might’ve actually gone down. According to the Bleacher Report on their investigative piece they dropped earlier today (Oct. 30, 2015) it seems the Jets might’ve asked the NFL to sweep their locker room FBI style for any sort of secret surveillance equipment.
An inside source has since then denied that such a request went down but in a classic response that left more questions than answers, that same source did not deny that a sweep could’ve taken place.
This all comes off of the Patriots and their infamous Deflategate scandal that has slowly eroded the trust any team has for New England before a big game. After all, head coach Eric Mangini was the one who blew the cover off the whole shebang with his on Spygate scandal.
It gets more interesting from here as according to one source, “a team eventually will plant bugs on its own and claim that the Patriots put them there. This has prompted the Patriots to ask the league to certify before each game that the visiting locker room is clean before an opposing team enters.”
If that’s true then Belichick might be a good few steps ahead of everyone else. Even if bugs were found in the opposing team’s locker room, he can simply claim they were planted there by someone else to discredit them. Brilliant Belichick, brilliant.
