Drew Brees was trying to throw his seventh touchdown pass of the game in Week 8, when Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie changed things up a little.

Drew Brees was trying to make NFL history in a game that was already offensively historic. Both Brees and Giants quarterback Eli Manning combined for 12 touchdowns on the afternoon, and Brees was going for broke and a tie of the record at seven touchdowns in a game.

He indeed threw seven touchdowns on the afternoon — but it just depends on who you are as to how exciting or valid that argument is.

The most entertaining game of Week 8 in the NFL was far and away the showdown on the bayou as the biggest play of the game was Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie returning a turnover late in the game to put the Giants back up after trailing by a lot.

Now the question is whether it’s a fumble or a pick-six. If it’s a pick-six, then you have to try and argue this being a touchdown pass for Brees — since that’s technically what it was.
