Reggie Bush was injured in most unfortunate fashion.

San Francisco 49ers running back Reggie Bush went down with a most unfortunate injury on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. After ripping a solid rushing attempt, Bush was run out of bounds wehre he attempted valiantly to slow down. Unfortunately for him, the Edward Jones Dome flanks its sidelines with concrete.

Like a baby giraffe wandering along a sheet of ice, Bush slid right into a retaining wall.

With Carlos Hyde out for the game, this was Bush’s first start of the season. Sadly, he was carted to the locker room with a knee injury.

It’s been one helluva season for the St. Louis Rams’ home stadium. Earlier this year, in a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the stadium’s turf was singed by pregame fireworks.

Last week Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown nearly found injury in the exact same fashion as Bush. While slowing down out of bounds, he slid into the barrier and was briefly shaken.

Edward Jones Dome: a modern day version of the House of Usher. It was a mind of its own, filled with death and devilish thoughts. Tread lightly and carefully, all you intrepid visitors. Take it from Reggie Bush.
