36. Final. 12. 123. 13

The Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys squared off in a game of two NFC teams that looked to be contenders have been struggling to get their footing this season for various reasons.

The game will be most remembered for the terrifying injury to Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, who was hit hard and laid unconscious on the field for a scary amount of time. As he was being carted off he finally moved his hands, alleviating some concerns, and reportedly suffered just a concussion.

The Dallas Cowboys began to rally in the second half of the game, taking the lead behind a pair of Dan Bailey field goals, the second of which was set up by a Greg Hardy interception.

Cowboys’ David Irving blocked a Seahawks field goal to hold onto the lead. The Seahawks were able to recoup and drive downfield, kicking a field goal in the final two minutes of the game to retake the lead and win the game.

Three stars

  1. Dan Bailey, K, Cowboys – Bailey converted four field goals in four attempts to account for all 12 of the Cowboys points.
  2. Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seahawks – Lynch carried the ball 21 times for 71 yards.
  3. Jimmy Graham, TE, Seahawks – Graham caught seven passes for 75 yards and was targetted 10 times.

Highlights

Matt Cassel showed off his running ability.

Dez Bryant got the best of Richard Sherman perhaps just once during the game.

Next Week

Next week the Dallas Cowboys host their divisional rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys beat the Eagles earlier in the season, but that was with a team that wasn’t riddle with injuries the way the Cowboys are coming into next week with.

The Seattle Seahawks host the Arizona Cardinals, one of the best-looking teams in the NFC this season.
