The New York Knicks are not expected to make the playoffs this NBA season, but that does not mean their games are going to be dull. Unlikely last year when Knicks fans had to deal with watching Jason Smith and other lost souls, the New York faithful has a healthy Carmelo Anthony and rookie Kristaps Porzingis.
On Monday, the Knicks were losing in a sleepy game against the San Antonio Spurs in the third quarter, until this happened.
Power. Put-Back. Porzingis. #NBAVine https://t.co/18xGpkdBGr

Nothing will ever be the same again. Of course, this kind of dunk from a rookie playing in his fourth game is going to get people up in arms. Add in that Porzingis is a great personality and plays his home games at Madison Square Garden, and you have a genuine moment. Here’s what happened to Twitter in the aftermath of this glorious dunk:
11/2/2015 - the day Kristaps Porzingis announced "I will not be Shawn Bradley."

Porzingis single handedly lifted Mets fans out of our misery.

@Cims45 The Porzingis era is here.

Remember the reaction Porzingis received at the draft? Prove em ALL wrong big man

This is perhaps the most epic dunk by a Knicks player since John Starks brought hell and fire on Horace Grant and Michael Jordan in the 1993 NBA Playoffs. The New York fans have been waiting forever for something like this moment, and Porzingis delivered in a thunderous way.
