Last season when he was still a member of the Dallas Cowboys, running back DeMarco Murray led the NFL in rushing and it seemed as if the best was yet to come. He would eventually leave the Cowboys for the rival Philadelphia Eagles, leading some to believe that he may thrive even more under the Chip Kelly offense.
Well, as we have come to find out, Murray has had a tough time fitting into the Eagles’ offensive system. Because of this, his jersey sales have taken quite the hit as well.
According to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which reflects sales both nationwide and online, Murray started the season at the No. 4 overall spot in the NFL. However, here in the middle of the season, he’s nearly found himself out of the top 10 altogether.

Again, it has been a struggle in Philadelphia for the reigning leading rusher in the NFL. He’s struggled with injury from time to time and he’s rushed for just 307 yards on 88 carries with three touchdowns. When you don’t meet the expectations that are set like Murray had, then chances are you’re going to gradually see your jersey sales take a plunge.
