After their loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers trolled the Memphis Grizzlies on Twitter by using the hashtag “didntloseby50,” a jab Memphis’ recent 50-point loss to the Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers faced each other on Wednesday night in another competitive contest between the two Western Conference powerhouses. Both teams entered the game with an undefeated record, meaning that only one team would exit undefeated. The defending NBA Champions continued their winning streak, beating the Clippers 112-108 at the Oracle Arena.

The Clippers blew off some steam on Twitter at the expense of the Memphis Grizzlies.

The hashtag “didntloseby50” refers to the Grizzlies’ embarrassing 119-69 loss to the Warriors on Monday. The Grizzlies’ 50-point loss was their biggest in franchise history.

The Grizzlies scored only 27 points in the second and third quarters combined, while the Warriors piled on an impressive 72 points. In those two quarters, the Grizzlies shot an atrocious 18.8% from the field and 0% (0-9) from 3-point range, which pales in comparison to the Warriors’ 60.9% field goal shooting and an even higher 3-point percentage (66.7%).

Memphis put their franchise-worst loss to Golden State behind them with a 103-89 victory over the slumping Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.

The Grizzlies have not responded to the Clippers’ tweet yet, but the two teams will play each other on Monday, November 9th at the Staples Center.

In the meantime, the Clippers will get a change to redeem themselves on Saturday when they face the Houston Rockets. Last year, the Clippers lost to the Rockets in the Western Conference Semi-Finals, blowing their 3-1 series lead.
