After the Los Angeles Clippers’ Twitter account tried to troll the Memphis Grizzlies, fans fired back at the Clippers.

The Los Angeles Clippers may have a great owner and an exciting brand of basketball, but at many times they can be one of the most insufferable and unlikable teams in the league thanks to their antics on the court and just their personalities in general.

So after the Clippers lost a tough one on the road to their rival, the Golden State Warriors, the team decided to take a shot at the Memphis Grizzlies, for no other good reason besides the fact that they can.

After the game, the Clippers posted the final score of their game and made mention of the fact that the Grizzlies had just lost to the Warriors by 50.

After that little passive aggressive tweet the Clippers made, the fans of Memphis, decided they were going to take their shots at the Clippers for opening up a Twitter war that they weren’t prepared for.

Many tweets highlighted the playoff series that the two teams had played against each other over the last few years. All of which, were physical battles between the two franchises, with no love lost between the two.

Needless to say, Memphis fans weren’t going to sit around and take it. To them, who are the Clippers to come around and talk trash about them? What have the Clippers accomplished that the Grizzlies haven’t?

At the end of the day, the Clippers didn’t lose by 50 and get embarrassed. However, that doesn’t mean squat as the losses count the same and they thought taking a little shot at the Grizzlies would make them high and mighty. It doesn’t.

What will be interesting now is to see the Clippers and Grizzlies do battle this season. It’s going to be physical, that’s for sure.
