Georgia found the end zone for the first time since October 10th on a Terry Godwin wildcat scamper in the red zone versus the Kentucky Wildcats.

Not since October 10th have the Georgia Bulldogs gotten into the end zone. Georgia went an awful 1-3 in the month of October. However, November is off to respectable start on the gridiron, as true freshman wide receiver Terry Godwin found end zone on a scamper out of the wildcat deep in, ironically, Wildcat territory versus Kentucky.

Beating the Wildcats with the wildcat deep in Wildcat territory is an awesome start for the meager Bulldogs offense, which has sputtered in the absence of running back Nick Chubb. Head coach Mark Richt was not kidding when he said that the new-look offense would have a Mark Stoops feel to it, as Kentucky goes into wildcat formation often.

Godwin actually fumbled the fake handoff exchange only to pick up the ball and run a wide open dive down the middle of the field for an easy score. Dawg Nation needed that in the worst way possible. The Mark Richt Era in Athens is supposedly on eggshells, after a brutal month for the Dawgs.

Terry Godwin has been one of the better true freshman on the Georgia Bulldogs’ roster this season. The five-star recruit out of Hogansville, Georgia was the number one athlete in the 2015 High School Graduating Class. Godwin will play for the baseball team this spring and his first career touchdown defines him not just as a wide receiver, but as an athlete.
