After Peyton Manning missed a day of practice for a sore foot last week, and then again this week, head coach Gary Kubiak says the injury has lasted a couple of weeks.

The Denver Broncos have a lingering problem with Peyton Manning they should be worried about.

After Peyton Manning missed last Friday’s practice with an issue with his foot, head coach Gary Kubiak revealed to reporters, that the foot issue has actually been going on for a couple of weeks now, according to ProFootballTalk.

"“It’s just really sore coming off the turf [in Indianapolis],” coach Gary Kubiak told reporters on Wednesday. “It’s been sore for a couple of weeks now. Obviously, we’re inside today, so he did nothing today. He’ll be day-to-day. We’ll just see where he is tomorrow.”"

The Broncos lost their first game of the season to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and it wasn’t exactly Manning’s sharpest performance of the season. Despite all this, Kubiak doesn’t seem really too concerned and attributed the affects of the sore foot to playing on turf and everyone being banged up this time of the year.

"“I think that everybody has little nicks and things that bother them throughout the course of the season,” Kubiak said. “His foot has bothered him for a couple of weeks, been sore and I think it’s coming off of that turf. It just seems like, when you play on turf, you get a lot more things going on.”"

With Manning on a day-t0-day basis, the Broncos are preparing for a home contest after a tough loss, where they will take on a battered Kansas City Chiefs team. Manning will also have a chance this weekend to break the passing yards record, which he fell just short of last week at Indianapolis. As for his foot injury, Manning joking with reporters, admitted that he can’t say much about it.

"“You got some action on this game?” Manning said. “I don’t think we’re allowed to answer questions like that, are we? That’s kind of what the NFL tells us — be careful of answering questions like that. There might be some hidden agendas behind the question. Everybody is trying to get better, trying to get healthy.”"

So the case of Peyton Manning’s foot seems to be an interesting one. Whether or not it will give him trouble on the field as the season wears on and the temperatures get colder remains to be seen. However, his coach seems too concerned with the state of his quarterbacks foot at the moment.
