If Kings fire George Karl, no one will want to coach them

Remember when the Kings got to stay in Sacramento and promised they would be lame or embarrassing — yeah, about that.

It wasn’t that long ago that the fans of Sacramento rejoiced that their beloved Kings were going to stay in town and not be moved to Seattle. Someone go find Doc Brown and the Delorian because we all screwed that one up pretty bad.

The Kings are such a raging dumpster fire of a franchise that even dumpster fires like the Sixers and Lakers are blushing. It’s an embarrassment to basketball intelligence to suggest that the Kings are anything more than a hapless franchise that needs to be lit up like the Fourth of July — because at least then their misery would be slightly entertaining.

DeMarcus Cousins went on a tirade this week after a Kings loss to the Spurs, one that belittled head coach George Karl — something he coach wanted to levy a suspension for.

According to Chris Mannix, the wheels have already come off in Sac-Town and it’s just a matter of time before the train comes crashing back to earth. Last year, George Karl wanted to suspend Boogie for bad posture.

There’s also the fact that if Karl is run out of town and fired, it will show other competent NBA coaches out there like Tom Thibodeau and others that Sacramento isn’t the place for them.

Basically, if the Kings fire George Karl, they will probably never find a head coach ever again. If they don’t fire him, the team will continue to implode and things will get so bad that Sacramento might spontaneously combust.
