Everyone is trying to figure out what the cut on Nick Saban’s face is
The Alabama Crimson Tide travelled to Starkville, MS for a huge game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs as Nick Saban’s Alabama team hoped to keep their SEC Championship and College Football Playoff dreams alive. Saban looked ready at the start of the game. However, late in the first quarter he started showing signs of weakness, most notably by actually bleeding from a cut on his face.
The camera cut to Saban late in the first period and, out of nowhere, Saban was bleeding on the side of his face from a cut that wasn’t there earlier in the game:

It’s pretty unsettling whenever you see any head coach start bleeding randomly on the sidelines during a game, but even more so when it’s Nick Saban who virtually everyone can agree is a cyborg. Watching a machine bleed is pretty jarring to the senses, which is probably why the good users of Twitter had such a strong reaction to Saban’s cut:
Did Dan Try to punch Saban or something.. He has a cut on his face... Probably got in a fight with Kiffin if anything...

First rule of Nick Saban's fight club ... The other guy must fight A'Shawn Robinson first.

The only answer that’s been given as to why the Crimson Tide head coach is bleeding, though, came from CBS’ Allie LaForce, saying that a player ran into the coach:
Allie LaForce: Saban got cut when an Alabama player accidentally ran into him. The sidelines are dangerous on CBS games today.

Stay safe out there, coach.
