Peyton Manning’s butt gets plenty of screen-time (Video)
CBS cameras gave Peyton Manning’s backside a close-up
Peyton Manning is making history with the Denver Broncos in Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The living legend at quarterback came into the matchup just three yards shy of the all-time career passing yards record and it didn’t take much for him to surpass that. Obviously, Manning breaking the record was the talk of the broadcast.
Near the beginning of the coverage of the game, the CBS broadcast was discussing Manning and the possibility of him breaking the record. The production team then decided to cut to a shot of Manning on the sideline. Unfortunately for CBS, Manning was stretching on the sideline and all the cameras caught was a close-up of Manning’s butt:
While I wasn’t in the production truck at the time, I’d have to say that wasn’t the side of Manning that they were hoping to see with that shot. It’s odd that Manning, of all times, picked this moment to start showing his rear.
Despite making history, it did take Manning a little bit to make it happen. He threw an interception on his first pass of the game and then fumbled the next snap he took, though Denver recovered the fumble. He’s got the record now, though, and his backside got some quality TV time as well.
