Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford left Sunday’s game with an injury.

Sam Bradford’s first season with the Philadelphia Eagles has been a tumultuous one. He’s had a difficult time handling Chip Kelly’s unique offense but has shown flashes here and there.

When the Eagles traded for Bradford in the offseason, they knew they were getting damaged goods from the St. Louis Rams. The former Oklahoma Sooner quarterback suffered a torn ACL in back to back seasons and it was unknown if his knee would stay stable coming into the 2015 season.

So far, Bradford’s knee has been fine, but he suffered yet another injury, this one coming during today’s game against the Miami Dolphins.

During the third quarter, Bradford dropped back for a pass but got leveled by a Dolphins defensive lineman and landed hard on his left shoulder. He would get up but be in pain, favoring the shoulder and arm.

Mark Sanchez would emerge from the bench and take over as the quarterback for the Eagles.

Shortly after, Bradford would head to the locker room with team trainers still favoring the shoulder and arm. It looked similar to Tony Romo’s broken collarbone that he suffered nearly two months ago that has kept him out. If this is the case, Bradford’s first season with the Eagles may be coming to an end. This would be bad news for him, as his contract us up after the season and he rejected an extension with the team.
