Every now and then, a story will come along that will just break your heart and make you feel incredible sorrow.
On Wednesday, former NFL quarterback and NCAA great, Doug Flutie, let everyone know on Facebook that his parents had passed away. Not only was the story incredibly shocking, but Flutie’s account of what happened was incredibly sad.
Flutie’s father had been ill and passed away after suffering a heart attack. Even worse, Flutie’s mother would shockingly suffer a heart attack an hour after the passing away of her husband.
From Flutie’s post on Facebook, it is abundantly clear that he had tremendous parents that supported their family in anyway that they could. The loss of both parents on the same day is without a doubt one of the hardest things that anyone could go through.
Flutie, a beloved quarterback and great individual, has received nothing but an outpouring of support since his post on Facebook. This is truly one of the most sad stories to ever be told.
