The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a tough loss at home to the Miami Dolphins in Week 10, but no player had a tougher day than Sam Bradford.

In Philadelphia’s loss to the Dolphins, Bradford was banged up pretty badly. The quarterback suffered a concussion along with a separated non-throwing shoulder that was revealed in a recent MRI. Bradford is no stranger to showing up on the injury report after missing the entire 2014 season with a torn ACL, and has also missed large chunks of the 2011 and 2013 seasons.

Despite his injury history, Chip Kelly and the Eagles took a chance on Bradford this offseason, as they traded Nick Foles to the St. Louis Rams for the former No. 1 overall pick.

The Eagles had expectations of being a great offense in 2015, but Bradford hasn’t been good in Kelly’s offense. In 2015, Bradford has 11 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 2,297 passing yards and a 63.9 completion percentage. After being knocked out of the game against the Dolphins, the Eagles turned to Mark Sanchez, who totaled 156 passing yards, one interception and a 60.9 completion percentage.

The Eagles will be playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11, but who their starting quarterback will be is still very much in question. It is hard to believe that Bradford will be able to play in Week 11 with both a concussion and a separated shoulder.

If Bradford can’t play against the Buccaneers, the Eagles will once again turn to Sanchez to be their starting quarterback. Sanchez got a lot time of as a starter last season after Foles was injured, playing in nine games and totaling 2,418 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Sanchez is best served as a backup quarterback but he does have a lot of experience as a starter. The Eagles knew that Bradford was a risk to be injured in 2015, which is why they re-signed Sanchez this past offseason.
