James White found the end zone on Monday Night Football for the Patriots.

New England Patriots running back James White has become a key player in the offense on Monday Night Football, as he scored his second touchdown of the game. He is the only Patriots player to score a touchdown, as stars such as tight end Rob Gronkowski and running back LeGarrette Blount have been shut down. White mauled through multiple Bills defenders for the touchdown, giving New England a 17-10 lead.

White has filled in as the Patriots’ primary pass-catching and complementary back, as Dion Lewis is out for the season with a knee injury. Quarterback Tom Brady has been relatively quiet since losing Lewis and wide receiver Julian Edelman to injuries, but wide receiver Danny Amendola has heated up in the second half.

White will not likely score two touchdowns in a game again any time soon for the Patriots, but he has shown that he can be a complementary and sneaky weapon if Blount is not playing his best.

White is finally receiving his chance to shine after being stuck in a crowded backfield that consisted of players such as Shane Vereen, Stevan Ridley and Jonas Gray. Vereen and Ridley have since left in free agency, and Gray was released by the Patriots before this season.
