Les Miles has become the most criticized coach in college football, but he is not worried while LSU players are not taking the bait.

LSU has fallen out of the rankings with their third consecutive loss, and head coach Les Miles has inevitably landed on the hot seat once again. The Tigers were considered national title contenders not too long ago, and running back Leonard Fournette seemed to be a lock to win the Heisman Trophy.

However, Alabama continued to be in LSU’s heads as they rolled over them for a victory, handing LSU their first loss. They have struggled since that loss with two blowouts at the hands of Arkansas and Ole Miss. Miles was asked how he feels about his job security, but he remained calm and collected while his players leaped to his defense. Here is the full video of Miles’ interview.

Miles has not led LSU to more than 10 wins since the 2011 season, and the Tigers finished with a disappointing 8-5 record in 2014. Miles has had an overall successful stint with the Tigers though, as he has compiled a 110-32 record. This consists of a BCS national championship, which LSU won during the 2007 season. The Tigers also returned to the BCS title game in 2011 after securing their second SEC title under Miles’ watch, but they were shut down by Alabama. LSU has not defeated Alabama since their 2011 regular-season win, which has caused fans to say that Alabama head coach Nick Saban is in Miles’ head.

LSU is expected to determine Miles’ fate by the end of the season, and his opportunities to redeem his reputation are limited since the Tigers only have a game against Texas A&M and a bowl game remaining. Even a 9-3 finish will not be enough to guarantee Miles his job safety in 2016, but that is his best bet at this point.
