The Sacramento Kings will likely be without their star center DeMarcus Cousins when they take on the Golden State Warriors.

It’s probably safe to etch 18-0 in stone for the Golden State Warriors.

It’s not just because their team is insane and really showing no signs of weakness, but it’s also because they are playing the perennially struggling Sacramento Kings at home on Saturday night. It’s not just that the Kings are struggling, but they are also likely to be without their star center DeMarcus Cousins.

If that didn’t make the game any tougher Saturday, for the Kings, they are coming off a tough home loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. The Warriors meanwhile are still red hot and can’t miss from anywhere on the floor as they continue to remain undefeated into the season.

The odds for the Sacramento Kings have gone from bad to worse in this one if Cousins doesn’t suit up. It’s a shame really that Cousins has been hurt, because the Kings were finally starting to play some good basketball, with him taking charge in some big wins on the road.

Unfortunately with him out, they are beginning to slide right back to where they were and if they can’t pick up a miracle win on the road, then they will fall yet another game under .500 on the season. As DeMarcus Cousins goes, so does the Kings, and so far they aren’t going anywhere without him this season.

The Kings like to run a two-center offense with Willie Cauley-Stein and Kosta Koufos in Cousins’ absence, but the Warriors small-ball lineup will be just too much for Sacramento to handle, which would probably be the case even with Cousins.

It’s not necessarily about tonight’s game for the Kings. They know this one will be tough, but it’s about getting their center back as quick as possible, so they aren’t in the same boat with yet another season over by December.
