Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have been a team that has developed a reputation for coming on strong at the end of the regular season and that looks to be the case again this year after a big win last week. They’ll look to carry that momentum into Week 12 as they welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers to CenturyLink Field.

Thomas Rawls came out of the woodwork looking like an unstoppable superstar for the Seahawks last week in the absence of Marshawn Lynch and will look to continue that alongside Russell Wilson and with Richard Sherman leading on the other side of the ball. Sherman will be up against a lethal Steelers offense led by Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown that can put up boatloads of points seemingly in the blink of an eye.

Keys to Victory

With Lynch out again this week, Rawls will once again be called upon to carry the workload for the Seahawks offense. However, that may be a more difficult task than expected against a Steelers team that ranks sixth in the NFL through 11 weeks in terms of rushing yards allowed per game. Subsequently, Wilson will need to have a big game out of play action in terms of moving the ball with his arm and even taking off and running himself. That will keep the Pittsburgh defense on their toes and give Rawls a better chance of success.

The Steelers on the other hand are a team that has a balanced and lethal offensive attack, even with DeAngelo Williams filling in for Le’Veon Bell. However, the key for them on the road in Seattle will be finding ways to feed the likes of Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant consistently against a Seahawks pass defense that ranks second in the league in yards allowed per game through the air. Moving the ball consistently will be key, but breaking off some big plays in the passing game would also obviously play in the Steelers’ favor come Sunday.

Prediction

This matchup should be quite entertaining with a ton of big-time playmakers on the field on Sunday afternoon. However, there comes a time where you have to learn not to bet against Seattle when they’re making their late-season run and this seems like that time.

Final Score: Pittsburgh Steelers: 24, Seattle Seahawks: 30
