After announcing his retirement, Kobe Bryant has received love from all sorts of people about his great career, but one player had an interesting tribute to the Black Mamba.

When news broke that Bryant was going to be retiring at the end of the season, people and athletes flocked to social media to show respect for one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA.

Many people shared highlights of Bryant’s best moments along with pictures of his greatest achievements.

One tribute to Bryant did stand out, as the Miami Heat’s center Hassan Whiteside had some fun with honoring Bryant, as he posted a picture on Instagram of Bryant laughing while Whiteside throws down a dunk against the Lakers.

The picture, of course, is great timing, as Bryant surely wasn’t laughing when Whiteside was dunking, but it was one of the most memorable tributes to Bryant.

It has not been a fun season for Bryant and the Lakers, as they have a 2-14 record, and Bryant has played awful this season. This season, Bryant is averaging 15.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. The real eye-popping stats are Bryant’s shooting numbers, as he is shooting 30.5 percent from the field, and 20.2 from three-point range.

The news of Bryant retiring should come as a shock, as injuries and father time have clearly caught up to him.

Bryant has the reputation of being one of the most serious players in the NBA with a killer instinct similar to Michael Jordan, but Whiteside’s post surely had to make Bryant crack a smile.

The Lakers will be hosting Whiteside and the Heat on March 30th, which means Kobe will have to wait a while before he can try to get some revenge on Whiteside for the hilarious tribute.
