Gerard Delofeu unleashed some unbelievable stepovers in Tuesday’s win against.

Wow! Everyone knew the Gerard Delofeu had some talent when Everton signed him in the summer. Fans get excited whenever the ex-Barcelona star gets the ball, and on Tuesday he showed the world what he could do. He received the ball wide right, forcing the defender to back towards his own box. After a couple of shimmies, he steps over once, and then again, and then again. He then jinks down the line, stands the ball up for Romelu Lukaku who nods the ball home.

Delofeu has been in scintillating form in recent weeks. He has been involved in five league cup goals this year, more than any other player, and he and Lukaku have developed a dangerous partnership. The big Belgian has been outstanding this season, scoring 13 goals in all competitions. Delofeu has assisted seven of them. It is a link that is growing and growing between the pair and will hopefully stand Everton in good stead for the upcoming months.

However, since Roberto Martinez has come in to Goodison Park, he has brought an element of flair, skill and creativity. Like Tony Hibbert and Moyes, Delofeu is the epitomy of Martinez’s style of play. And if you ever wondered where Delofeu learned his neat tricks, see one Tony Hibbert…
