The Lions are a team in need of a lot of things. Who the heck knows what’s happening with Matthew Stafford and that offense. The running game is nonexistent. And the defense, well, it took a significant hit during the 2015 offseason. This is a spin the wheel and go with the best option that comes up, kinda team.

Kendall Fuller seems like an injury risk, but as Todd Gurley and the St. Louis Rams proves during the 2015 NFL Draft: talent trumps everything. Fuller went down with a knee injury in September, meaning that he will have had significant time to heal prior to the 2016 NFL Draft.
He was ranked as a preseason All-American, and is one of the top defensive backs in the draft. As a junior, there’s an interesting decision to be made on his part. He’s definitely not being taken before Jalen Ramsey or Vernon Hargreaves III, but there’s a bit of a drop off after him.

When healthy, Fuller is a dynamic lockdown corner. He also has good pedigree, with his brother playing in the NFL as cornerback for the Chicago Bears.
