The Steelers would be wise to continue to invest high draft picks on the secondary, hoping that last year’s second-round pick Senquez Golson returns from injury to lead the changeover in the cornerbacks position. They’ll also need to look for a safety as it looks like Shamarko Thomas is just not progressing as anyone had hoped. On offense the Steelers would be wise to provide depth to the offensive line and tight end.

Jonathan Bullard isn’t exactly a diamond in the rough, but he is a guy who came on in his senior season to really harness his potential. As names like Dominique Easley and Dante Fowler Jr. cycled out of the picture (and into the National Football League), Bullard took center stage.

He is a little squatty at 6’3, but Bullard can get into passing lanes and disrupt throws. He’s also very good at tracking down the rush, and not letting plays extend beyond the line of scrimmage.

Bullard isn’t the best laterally, but he makes up for it with a powerful first step. His maturation throughout his time in college is very tantalizing for teams looking at guys with high upside.
