10. Philadelphia 76ers

The best on-court projection, Philly spends little time flaunting the technology and instead actually has their players doing things instead of just blandly standing around with basketballs. They use drumsticks, hold flags, and don’t take up the whole video doing so.

9. Memphis Grizzlies

Yes, this was the best quality I could find. It seems plain at a glance, but this intro video embodies its team, which is important. There are minimal visual effects, or anything fancy really. There are defensive clips and no smiles on players’ faces. Fans know what team they’re getting out there just by watching the video, and now they’re pumped for it.

8. Detroit Pistons

This one’s got it all. Epic music, shots of players in-game and in an empty gym, but best of all: a ton of Detroit. A clever twist was throwing highlights on various buildings. The frantic finale of players’ headshots was a strong way to close out.

7. Chicago Bulls

It’s the 2015 version of the same intro Chicago used back in the Jordan days. Not sure how it would fly if this was put together for the first time today, but sticking with what works gets you a solid ranking.

6. Houston Rockets

Just about perfect. The video begins with sparks flying and they fly throughout, keeping its editing theme consistent. There’s a lot of effects going on, which could feel like a bit much to some, but otherwise it’s just a well-crafted introduction.
