New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis summed up his play this season with one great line.

When the New York Knicks drafted European big man Kristpas Porzingis with the fourth overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft, he was met with a chorus of boos. Knicks fans filling the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY hated him before he could step on the court.

Well, just 19 games into the 2015-16 NBA season, Porzingis has won over the Knicks fans and the media. He has a circus around him similar to Jeremy Lin’s short-lived “Linsanity” era a few years ago. However, given Porzingis’ talent, this has a chance to be in place for years to come.

During Friday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, Porzingis put up yet another very good performance. He totaled 19 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.

Afterwards, ESPN’s NBA studio interviewed him and was asked about his play. Porzingis responded with “I got that European swag.”

Porzingis summed up his play pretty well there. He has been great and is providing the Knicks with some much-needed positive coverage coming off last year’s debacle. Hopefully for them he continues this play throughout the season and builds on this in years to come.
