After the Green Bay Packers pulled off an insane Hail Mary, the reactions of Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford were priceless.

It’s never a good thing to be on the wrong side of history in sports, but for the Detroit Lions, they will always be on the wrong side of what will forever be known as “The Miracle in Motown” and one of the greatest moments that has happened in NFL History.

In what looked like a sure win for the Detroit Lions on Thursday night, the Packers and Aaron Rodgers did what great teams and great players do, and that’s make great moments happen on the field. Little did they know, “The Miracle in Motown” would end up being something forever memorable.

For Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson, they will always be on the wrong side of history, as their reactions after witnessing “The Miracle in Motown” were priceless and ones that had many people feeling truly awful for the Detroit Lions.

After the incredible catch to win the game, the camera was zoomed in right on Stafford and Johnson. Stafford could do nothing but fling his hat forward, while Johnson just straight up collapsed as he realized he was forever the wide receiver version of Barry Sanders in Detroit.

It was a sad realization of no hope for tomorrow coming to life. The pain and anguish that is shown within their eyes tells the whole story of what it is like to be a player for the Detroit Lions.

Why do bad things happen to good people?
