After their win in the SEC Championship on Saturday, Alabama will be heading back to the College Football Playoff.

As it stands right now, there is pretty much one team that we are absolutely certain will be in the College Football Playoff on New Year’s Eve and that team is none other than the Alabama Crimson Tide. After their win on Saturday in Atlanta inside the Georgia Dome, the Tide will once again earn the right to play for the national championship.

Alabama went into the Georgia Dome and, as everyone more or less expected, and while it wasn’t pretty, they came away with a 29-15 win, garnering them their second consecutive conference title.

Now, coming into this game against Florida, the Tide were No. 2 in the College Football Playoff rankings. So, with the win and their conference title to carry along with them, you can pretty much slot them in the final four somewhere.

Much like last season, Alabama will be heading into the playoff with one loss on the year, and ironically enough, it’s a loss against the same team from 2014. Back in September, Alabama was upset at home by Ole Miss, but they were able to regroup from there and win the SEC West, Then, of course, they took care of business on Saturday.

As for who they’ll be playing, well, there are still other games to play out on Saturday night before we know that on Sunday. However, one thing we know pretty much for certain is that Alabama is back in the hunt.
