A look at who will be playing in the 2015 Gildan New Mexico Bowl to get the bowl season started

With the college football season now officially coming to a close, it’s time to get set for what is everyone’s favorite time of year, bowl season. This year, the festivities will get kicked off with the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.

The bowl season for 2015 will start with this game, so you know that everyone will have their eyes glued to this one as they’re looking for their college football fix.

This particular game is played inside University Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which isn’t a bad destination by any means for a lot of teams that earn a bowl bid.

Last year, this game featured a match up between the Utah State Aggies and the UTEP Miners. The game itself wasn’t all that close, with Utah State coming away with the 21-6 win by the time all was said and done here.

So, who will be the two teams battling it out this year in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl?

This season we will get a nice match up between Arizona and New Mexico.

There is a nice contest here for this one and it’s sure not to disappoint. With Rich Rodriguez recently reaffirming his commitment to this Arizona program, he’ll be looking to make a statement in this one heading into 2016.

The New Mexico Bowl will take place on December 19 and it will begin at 2 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on ESPN and will be available via the WatchESPN app.
