Cowboys at Redskins: Full highlights and final score

facebooktwitterreddit

The Washington Redskins lost to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.

If you love the National Football League, you probably walked away loving it a bit less. This is the type of contest that forces a man to walk the cold streets alone, left only with his thoughts as he frantically tries to understand what he has seen. The worst part is knowing it can never be unseen.

Yet, the Cowboys beat the Redskins 19-16. The ending was at least something to talk about, with DeSean Jackson making great plays for both sides. The contest was hideous beyond words for most of it, but the final few minutes at least made it semi-pro quality. The game-winner came off the foot of kicker Dan Bailey, hitting a 54-yard field goal.

Highlights

Hey Marcus Peters, can you sum that game up?

Thanks, Marcus!

Three Stars

1. Tony Romo

Romo was smart enough to break his clavicle for the second time this season on Thanksgiving. He was still forced to sit on the sidelines during the game, but at least he did not have to participate. Anybody who played in that mess will need deep counseling for a good period of time.

2. The football

It was a cold night in Washington, and the football did all it could to get into the end zone. In horrifying fashion, it was held out of the painted grass by two teams hellbent on not going anywhere near the place that means six points and respectability.

3. NFL fans

It takes dedication and love to watch something like that. Millions went through the torture that Washington and Dallas put forth for more than three hours on primetime television.

Odds

The Redskins were favored by four points and did not cover the spread against the Cowboys.

Next Week

Washington will be playing on the road against the Chicago Bears while Dallas takes on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
