8. Brian Kelly

When Notre Dame hired Brian Kelly to take over their program, many were skeptical if he would be able to turn the program into a contending program. Well he did that and more, by coaching the Fighting Irish to one national title game and having the Irish play in other great bowl games.

This year, they battled through injuries and fell just short of the playoffs, but the success of the Irish can’t be denied. With their success as a program, Kelly has solidified himself as one of the top head coaches in college football and he could very well be at Notre Dame for a very long time.

However, what if the NFL came calling and a new obstacle for Kelly to overcome became available? Jim Irsay isn’t afraid to go out and get the guy that he wants.

While it would take a lot to pry Kelly from Notre Dame, Irsay has the money to bring him from South Bend to Indianapolis.

It’s just a matter of whether or not it’s about the money for Kelly. In Indianapolis, he would have a great position to step into, which rarely happens when a new head coach takes over a job in the NFL. With Andrew Luck, he has a quarterback already set in place.

It’s a highly unlikely probability, but this would be certainly a home run of a move for the franchise if they could pull off such a feat.
