MLB Trade Rumors: 5 places Todd Frazier might play in 2016
By Ian O'Brien
Any MLB team that needs a third baseman should take the opportunity to trade for Todd Frazier.
Cincinnati Reds third baseman Todd Frazier has become one of the most dangerous hitters in all of baseball with 64 home runs in his last two seasons. He is becoming a trade candidate as a result. The Reds are in full-on sell mode since they only won 64 games this season. They have a great chance to reload with prospects and multiple players since they have star power in Frazier and closer Aroldis Chapman. The Reds already began their rebuilding process when they traded starting pitcher Johnny Cueto at the trade deadline, and they received multiple pitchers in return.
Unfortunately for them, a trade involving Chapman and the Los Angeles Dodgers fell through since it has come out that he was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. The rumors include him firing gunshots while choking his girlfriend in a violent fit of rage. It remains to be seen whether the Dodgers will still trade for him, but it appears that the Reds may be stuck with Chapman since no team will want to deal with that sort of baggage.
Luckily, Frazier has a clean record and offers all sort of potential for a team that is in need of a bat and/or a third base presence. Here are five teams that should strongly consider making a move for the power-hitting third baseman.
