(7-5). Previous: . New York Jets. 12. team. 30. <p>The New York Jets have a first-year head coach, Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback and Antonio Cromartie nominated as Father of the Year. Alright, the last part probably isn’t true, but despite all those obstacles the Jets are sitting in the sixth and final playoff spot in the AFC with a 7-5 mark. You have to give this team credit for its comeback win over the listless New York Giants, scoring 10 points in the final moments of regulation before winning in overtime.</p> <p>New York has control of its own destiny and can take a few more steps in the coming weeks. The Jets square off against the woeful Tennessee Titans at MetLife Stadium this Sunday before traveling west to take on the Dallas Cowboys. New York will be favored in both games and should be able to reach a 9-5 record. The real question is whether the Jets can muster enough to win in either Week 16 or 17, hosting the New England Patriots before finishing up against at the Buffalo Bills. Getting to 10 wins probably puts New York into the dance, but getting there won’t be easy.</p> <p>If the Jets want to play in January, it must split those last two games.</p>
