LeBron hit an impossible jumper from the corner on Friday night against the Magic

LeBron James has been capable of doing just about whatever he wants on a basketball court for quite some time now. As one of the most physically dominant players that the league has ever seen, that’s the advantage that he has. With his Cleveland Cavaliers up by 30 on the Orlando Magic on Friday night, though, you might think he’d scale it back a little bit. That would be an incorrect assumption.

Late in the third quarter with the Cavs already out to a big lead, LeBron got passed the rock in the left corner. He tried to get by Dewayne Dedmon on the baseline off the dribble, but was stopped and elected to take a jumper while fading away into the corner behind the basket. Not caring about probability in the slightest, the shot fell through without touching the rim:

With the Cavs already up by 30 points, knocking down that shot just seems terribly mean from LeBron. The Magic are already getting run off their home floor; there’s no need to add insult to injury.

LeBron and Cleveland have been one of the best teams in the East to this point, but they’re only going to get better in the coming weeks as point guard Kyrie Irving is slated to make his return very soon.
