Kansas coach Bill Self was not happy with the way his team started the game, and his watch paid the price.
The Kansas Jayhawks got off to a slow start on Saturday night against the Oregon State Beavers, and their head coach Bill Self was obviously not happy with the way his team started the game.
With the Jayhawks falling into an early 22-9 hole at home, Self was absolutely irate on the sideline with his team and ended up taking his anger out on his watch.
With a fistful of anger, Self punched his watch and it ended up breaking as a result of it.
Self was already saying a ton of expletives about what was unfolding, but he probably said even more after he realized he broke his watch.
A guy like Self has enough money to afford a really nice watch, so hopefully it wasn’t too expensive. Still, that is one fragile watch that can’t hold up to the pressure of a punch.
Or maybe Self has quite the right hand. Whatever the case may be, the Jayhawks were not playing their best basketball on the court and Self had about had it with the way they were playing.
Unfortunately for Self, his watch had it too.
