Ryan Fitzpatrick connects with wide receiver Brandon Marshall for a 69-yard touchdown reception, Fitzpatrick’s third passing touchdown of the afternoon.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is in the midst of a great Fitzmagic streak quarterbacking the New York Jets. In his last three games for the Jets, Fitzpatrick has thrown for nine touchdowns and zero interceptions, as New York contends for an AFC Wild Card spot.

Fitzpatrick’s third touchdown pass of the day caught the surprisingly good Tennessee Titans defense completely off guard. He took a one-step drop and got the football out immediately to wide receiver Brandon Marshall for a 69-yard touchdown strike to give the Jets a 27-0 over the Titans.

Fitzpatrick was able to throw the football just quickly enough pass the Tennessee linebacker to catch nearly the entire back seven of the Titans asleep. At least five guys in the box were not ready for the quick strike from Fitzpatrick.

As Fitzpatrick limits his turnovers, he has the Jets very much in the conversation of the AFC Playoffs race, due in large part to his great quarterback play of the last few weeks. His Jets took a 27-0 lead over the Titans into halftime at home Sunday afternoon.

With New York at 7-5 and in second place in the AFC East, it seems as though the Jets will have to get one of two Wild Card spots, unless the division-leading New England Patriots continue to slide. New England has lost its last two games since starting the season 10-0. However with Fitzpatrick riding a hot streak in the middle of December, look for more Fitzmagic to keep the Jets in the hunt into the final weeks of the 2015 NFL season.
