detroit lions. 23. team. 50. <p>At this point in the season with the way things have gone, the Detroit Lions are looking for anything positive. After coming into the season with some playoff hopes once again, the wheels have really come off here in 2015. Heading into the game with another struggling team in the St. Louis Rams, some thought they might get that positive something.</p> <p>Well, that didn’t happen, as the Lions were dropped by the Rams in a close one, 21-14. It was a heartbreaking way to pick up that ninth loss of the season, but it happened and this is where they sit at this point.</p> <p>Oh, and for what it’s worth, they were eliminated from playoff contention with the loss as well.</p> <p>There are a lot of issues plaguing this team right now, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Putting all the blame on Matthew Stafford and the offense might not be the right way to go, although they’re not particularly helping matters, especially with the run game. Basically, there’s going to be some major changes in Detroit heading into 2016.</p> <p>But, being officially eliminated from playoff contention ensures that now they can start looking ahead to how they’re going to make those changes and right the ship.</p>.
