Kings’ Omri Casspi throws a nasty stiff arm (Video)

The Kings‘ Omri Casspi forgot what sport he was playing, when he hit the Rockets‘ Donatas Motiejunas with a stiff arm.

Omri Casspi just forgot what sport he was playing.

On a fast break, Casspi had a lane for a free two points as the Houston Rockets’ Donatas Motiejunas trailed right behind him. Thinking it was a game of football, Casspi hit Motiejunas with a wicked stiff arm that sent Motiejunas flying.

While Casspi finished off with a basket and a pretty sweet football move, it did not fly with the refs as Casspi was called for the foul on the play. That’s just about as blatant as an offensive foul as one can make, but give credit to Casspi for doing whatever it takes to get to the hoop.

It’s clear that he’s been watching some game tape of Marshawn Lynch, as that was an absolutely sick stiff arm. Motiejunas went sprawling back like a tiny cornerback trying to bring down a much bigger running back, despite the fact Motiejunas is about the same weight as Casspi.

It’s that time of the year when everyone is glued to football as it is almost playoff time. The football hype has clearly translated to the basketball court in Sacramento.
