Phoenix Suns center Tyson Chandler decided the best way to get the ball to his teammate was to pass it off the backboard.

The Phoenix Suns are in town to be the latest victims of the Golden State Warriors, as the Warriors will set out to begin a new streak as their record best start to the season ended over the weekend. Their method for trying to pull off the upset on the road is to do the unusual.

Suns center Tyson Chandler got things started off in a hurry, when he tried to make a pass to his teammate Jon Leuer. With no room to pass to Leuer, Chandler decided to go with the unconventional method and pass off the backboard to his teammate.

It worked and Leuer put the shot right in for two points.

The odds of going on the road and beating the Warriors are slim, as no one has done it yet this season. So perhaps doing the most off-the-wall things is the best way of catching Golden State by surprise.

That’s probably grasping for straws, but that was some heads up thinking by Chandler to use the backboard to his advantage on the play.

Does the backboard get an assist too?
