One position group that could use some attention is safety. Harrison Smith has been excellent in 2015 with 57 tackles, an interception and quarterbacks only completing 43.8% of their passes in his area. The problem has been Andrew Sendejo who has missed a lot of tackles and been a constant sore spot in coverage, allowing 13 catches for 203 yards and a touchdown.

Ohio State is a school known for producing versatile athletes and Vonn Bell fits that mold. Not only does he have the toughness and aggressive physicality needed for a box safety, he has shown an awareness in coverage and the ball skills to produce takeaways. Some scouts won’t like his being undersized (5’11”) but his ability is hard to argue or dismiss. Zimmer has gotten tons from less.
. S. Ohio State. Vonn Bell. 53. player
