Brock Ostweiler injury update: Broncos QB leaves Week 15
By Ian O'Brien
Brock Osweiler left with a shoulder injury against the Steelers, but the Broncos can breathe a sigh of relief.
Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler performed brilliantly in the first half against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the Broncos received a minor scare when he left the game. Osweiler was taken out of the game with a shoulder injury, but the Broncos received good news when it was revealed that he is probable to return.
Osweiler has torched the Steelers defense to the tune of 27 points in the first half. He threw for 218 yards and three touchdown passes on 14-of-18 passing, which included a 61-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. The Broncos offense had sputtered in previous games, but Osweiler is once again proving that he can be the future in Denver.
He gained the trust of the Broncos after helping lead them to an overtime comeback win over the New England Patriots. Peyton Manning is still out, so him playing will not be an option against the Steelers.
However, it sounds like Osweiler will still take the field for the Broncos and help them attempt maintain their lead.
