Brandin Cooks caught a beautifully thrown touchdown pass from Drew Brees against the Detroit Lions on Monday night.

Just when it looked like there was no life left in the New Orleans Saints as the Detroit Lions ran all over them for much of the game, the Saints found some life behind their quarterback Drew Brees and wide receiver Brandin Cooks.

As the Saints fell behind the Lions big, Brees kept the team in control as he marched them right down the field with some big plays.

The biggest play of all came when Cooks separated himself from the Lions’ secondary and was in perfect line to catch a beautifully thrown ball from Brees.

Cooks took the pass and walked right on into the end zone.

The game was looking like it was going to be heading for a blowout, but with a veteran quarterback like Brees, he has the ability to keep his team in it. With a talented, young receiver like Cooks, the two are always able to connect on big plays to put the Saints in a chance to stay competitive.

Cooks has been making big plays all night against the Lions, but his biggest one was his score in the middle of the third quarter, which put his team right back in it.
