The Indianapolis Colts look to fix areas of weakness in this full 7-round mock draft.

The Indianapolis Colts are struggling in 2015, so much so that only a year removed from making some postseason noise, they now are in a dog fight in the AFC South, even though no team in the lackluster division owns a winning record. The Colts made some boneheaded moves this offseason and it’s coming back to bite them when they need help the most.

After a couple of draft blunders and poor free agent moves, general manager Ryan Grigson and head coach Chuck Pagano could both be gone in 2016. The drafting of receiver Phillip Dorsett, who has almost identical measurements to the receiver they just gave a huge contract to in T.Y. Hilton was their biggest head scratcher.

Dorsett has contributed just 11 receptions all year, and the team is still awful on both offensive and defensive lines. Grigson made a huge mistake not addressing those glaring holes, but the draft wasn’t his only snafu.

Right behind that was the odd signing of over-the-hill receiver Andre Johnson, and the over-aged power running back Frank Gore. The problem here wasn’t just his age, but the fact that he is a bruising back they placed in a finesse offense led by quarterback Andrew Luck.

In the first 13 games, Johnson has contributed just 31 catches for 386 yards. Gore has 762 yards and just four touchdowns in the same span while running for a measly 3.6 yards per rush.

The 2016 draft will probably feature some new brass making the calls, and for Colts fans, that means hope of fixing the errors of season’s past. We now look at some possible directions Indianapolis can take with their six picks this spring (they traded their sixth-round selection to the Oakland Raiders for linebacker Sio Moore).
