As more begins to unfold about the situation, apparently the Panthers used some baseball bats to taunt Odell Beckham.

The Carolina Panthers and New York Giants played one of the more thrilling games of the entire NFL season on Sunday, with the Panthers getting the win and moving to 14-0 on the year. But, let’s all be honest, the quality of the game is really the last thing that anyone is talking about. No, the big story coming out of the game on Sunday was the brutal, violent back-and-forth between Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman.

Now, the story has taken a rather strange turn.

According to Adam Schefter, prior to the game getting underway on Sunday, Josh Norman and other members of the Panthers were out on the field during warm-ups with black baseball bats, bats they were reportedly using to taunt the Giants stud wide receiver.

Yeah, that’s pretty strange on the part of the Panthers, going all 1997 WCW Sting on Beckham. However, as Schefter stated in the report, that doesn’t give Beckham a pass for the way that he acted, but maybe just a little bit you could see how he could have felt threatened.

All-in-all, as more comes to light, the story of the events that took place on Sunday just gets stranger and stranger. There’s also more questions than ever, and you can now add why the Panthers were out there with baseball bats to that list.

There’s no telling what’s next.
