Detroit Lions running back Theo Riddick used some sick footwork to make the New Orleans Saints look silly.

The Detroit Lions jumped all over the New Orleans Saints early during Monday Night Football, and running back Theo Riddick was a big reason why the Lions got the jump on the Saints.

Riddick, who is just as dangerous receiving the ball as he is running it, put on an absolute clinic on the field with his sick footwork, which made the Saints’ defenders look absolutely ridiculous.

It was definitely not Dannell Ellerbe’s finest moment, as he got his ankles broken on national television with everyone watching.

Ever since Barry Sanders retired, it’s been an absolute struggle for the Lions to find an adequate solution at the running back spot, let alone even just a serviceable back to hand off to.

With Ameer Abdullah and Riddick, the young Lions suddenly have a couple of dynamic backs. If Riddick can keep making defenders like this miss, then he’s on his way to becoming one of the more dynamic running backs in the league.

As for New Orleans, well actually, they might just want to work on getting a couple of guys on Riddick.
